Determination 2013/03:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
 
(i)              Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to certain holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
 
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
 
PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES
1.1         In this part, Determination Number 13 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
1.2       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission”:

1.3       The Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause A49 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A as follows: “A49. Telecommunications Universal Service Management Agency: While Mr Mark Darras occupies the office of Chair, he will receive a personal loading of $7,500 per annum.”
 
1.4       Clauses 1.2 and 1.3 take effect on and from 1 March 2013.
 
1.5       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entries after the entry for “Corporations and Markets Advisory Committee (Convener/Member)”:

1.6         Clause 1.5 takes effect on and from 1 December 2012.
 
 
PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
 
2.1       In this part, Determination Number 24 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
2.2         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Deputy Chairperson, ACCC“:

2.3         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following sentence after the first sentence in Clause 2.2.16 as follows, “Where a holder of the office of Vice President appointed under section 626 of the Fair Work Act 2009 has residual entitlements under the Fair Work Legislation Amendment Regulations 2012 (No.1), the salary applicable to that office holder is $423,024.”
 
2.4         Clauses 2.2 and 2.3 take effect on and from 1 March 2013.
