MONITORING OF THE PRICES, COSTS AND PROFITS RELATING TO THE SUPPLY OF UNLEADED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS IN THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY IN AUSTRALIA
 
I, Bruce Billson, Minister for Small Business, pursuant to section 95ZE of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, hereby direct:
 
1.             the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to monitor the prices, costs and profits relating to the supply of unleaded petroleum products in the petroleum industry in Australia for three years, effective from 17 December 2014; and
2.             the ACCC to report to me on its monitoring activities in paragraph (1) at least quarterly from 17 December 2014.
3.             The Direction commences the day after registration.
