Exemption — turns after take-off at Australian International Air Show
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on 24 February 2015; and
(b) expires at the end of 1 March 2015, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.
2 Application
This instrument applies to each pilot in command (the participating pilot) of aircraft that is participating in the Australian International Air Show 2015 (the Air Show) at Avalon aerodrome as organised by Aviation Development Australia Limited.
3 Exemption
The participating pilot is exempt from complying with the requirements of:
(a) paragraph 167 (4) (a) of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 (CAR 1988); and
(b) paragraph 167 (4) (b) of CAR 1988; and
(c) paragraph 167 (4) (c) of CAR 1988.
4 Condition
The exemption is subject to the conditions mentioned in Schedule 1.
Schedule 1 Condition
1 The participating pilot may only alter his or her track after take-off:
(a) in order to ensure safe separation from any spectators at the Air Show; and
(b) when he or she has reached a speed and height that make it safe to do so.
2 The participating pilot must, after joining the circuit pattern for landing on runway 18 or runway 05, make all turns to the pilot’s right.
3 The participating pilot must, after taking off on runway 18 or runway 05, make all turns to the pilot’s right while the aircraft is flying in the circuit pattern.
