1  Name of determination
                   This determination is the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation (Warlike Service) Determination 2014 (No. 1).
2  Commencement
                   This determination commences on the day after it is registered.
3  Authority
                   This determination is made under paragraph 6(1)(a) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.
4  Schedule(s)
                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
5  Definitions
                   In this determination:
Act means the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.
ADF means the Australian Defence Force.
NATO means the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
6  Warlike service
                   For paragraph 6(1)(a) of the Act, service in an operation mentioned in an item of Schedule 1 is warlike service for the purposes of the Act if:
                     (a)  the service is in an area of operation mentioned in the item; and
                     (b)  the service is during a period mentioned in the item.
