1  Name
                   This is the Legislative Instruments Amendment (Exemptions—Emergency Management Ordinances) Regulation 2015.
2  Commencement
                   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

1.  Sections 1 to 4 and anything in this instrument not elsewhere covered by this table
The day after this instrument is registered.

2.  Schedule 1, item 1
The later of:
(a) the day after this instrument is registered; and
(b) the day the Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands Legislation Amendment (2015 Measures No. 1) Ordinance 2015 commences.
However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur.

3.  Schedule 1, item 2
The later of:
(a) the day after this instrument is registered; and
(b) the day the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Ordinance 2015 commences.
However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur.

3  Authority
                   This instrument is made under the Legislative Instruments Act 2003.
4  Schedules
                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments

1  After item 9A of Part 2 of Schedule 1
Insert:
            9B.  Each of the following instruments made under the Emergency Management Ordinance 2012 (Territory of Christmas Island):
                     (a)  an emergency situation declaration;
                     (b)  an extension of an emergency situation declaration;
                     (c)  a state of emergency declaration;
                     (d)  an extension of a state of emergency declaration.
            9C.  Each of the following instruments made under the Emergency Management Ordinance 2012 (Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands):
                     (a)  an emergency situation declaration;
                     (b)  an extension of an emergency situation declaration;
                     (c)  a state of emergency declaration;
                     (d)  an extension of a state of emergency declaration.
2  After item 10 of Part 2 of Schedule 1
Insert:
         10A.  A declaration of a state of emergency made under the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Ordinance 2015.
