Amendment to the list of threatened species, threatened ecological communities and key threatening processes under sections 178, 181 and 183 of the
Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth) (172)

I, GEOFF RICHARDSON, delegate for the Minister for the Environment, under section 184(1) (d) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth), amend the list referred to in section 178 of that Act by:

a)      deleting the following sub headings from the endangered category
·         Genus, species (subspecies, population) Common Name
·         Animals
·         Fish
·         Amphipians
·         Reptiles
·         Birds
·         Mammals
·         Non-Vascular Plant
·         Plants

b)      reordering the list of species under the endangered category to be in alphabetical order

c)      deleting the following headings from the vulnerable category:

·         Genus, species (subspecies, population) Common Name
·         Animals
·         Annelid Worm
·         Crustaceans
·         Insects
·         Fish
·         Amphipians
·         Reptiles
·         Birds
·         Mammals
·         Non-Vascular Plant
·         Plants

d)      reordering the list of species under the vulnerable category to be in alphabetical order

e)      deleting the following headings from the extinct category:

·         Genus, species (subspecies, population) Common Name
·         Animals
·         Amphipians
·         Reptiles
·         Birds
·         Mammals
·         Plants

f)       deleting the following headings and wording from the extinct category:

·         Fish
Nil

·         Reptiles
Nil

g)      reordering the list of species under the extinct category to be in alphabetical order

h)      amending the order of species categories in the list to be:
·         Extinct
·         Extinct in the wild
·         Critically endangered
·         Endangered
·         Vulnerable
·         Conservation dependent
