THE DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITIES
(REPRESENTATIVES OF OVERSEAS COUNTRIES)

OF OVERSEAS COUNTRIES)

1. This Act may be cited as the Diplomatic Immuni- short title.

2. (1) Subject to the provisions of section 3 , Designated

Gazette as being a person duly appointed to represent the countries to

enjoy diplomatic
interests of an overseas country in the West Indies shall have imm,nitie,~
and enjoy in Antigua and Barbuda all the privileges,
immunities, exemptions and other benefits that are for the
time being had and enjoyed by the Ambassador of a foreign
country accredited to the Court of St. James in the United
Kingdom.

2 CAP. 136) Diplomatic Immunities (Representatives
of Overseas Countries)

(2) The Governor-General may from time to time cancel
or amend, as the necessity arises, any notice given under
subsection (1).

Expiry of A C ~ . 3. The Governor-General may, by notice in the
Gazette, declare that the need for the special provisions of
this Act no longer exists and from the date of such notice
this Act shall cease to have effect.
