CHAPTER 93

THE COMMUNICATIONS W I T H VESSELS ACT

Section

1. Short title.
2. Restriction on approaching or boarding vessels.
3. Application to vessels arriving from Barbuda.

COMMUNICATIONS WITH VESSELS

(12th September, 1947 .) 1211947.

1. This Act may be cited as the Communications with Short title.
Vessels Act.

2. Any person who- Restriction on
approaching or

(a) not being a licensed pilot and acting in that vessels+

capacity, shall approach nearer to any vessel arriving
in Antigua and Barbuda than a distance of approximate-
ly fifty yards, or shall board or leave such vessel; or

(b) being the master or commander of any vessel
arriving in Antigua and Barbuda shall allow any per-
son to board or leave such vessel,

before the vessel shall have been boarded by the harbour
master or visiting officer and before leave shall have been
granted by the harbour master or visiting officer for persons
to board or leave the vessel, shall be guilty of an offence

under this Act and on summary conviction shall be liable
to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars.
